Although I enjoy and practice various forms of decorative painting, the traditional painting styles of Rosemaling and Bauernmalerei have always held a special interest for me. I am fascinated with the world of nutcrackers and smokers, and enjoy painting and personalizing these peculiar wooden people to make unique gift for friends, family and custom orders. I have also been known to take a thrift store or basement “find” and giving it new life with a coat or two of paint. My preferred medium is acrylic paint on wood.

For custom orders, I can tailor many items to reflect favorite colors, hobbies, interests, and professions. If it is a smoker or nutcracker, it could even be customized to look like someone by matching eye, hair and skin colors.
